Asia-Pacific Writers & Translators Summit 2013

Tahun ini (2012-13) Intersastra menerima kehormatan karena Eliza dinominasikan dan dipilih sebagai Ketua Komite Penerjemahan AP Writers.

Dalam "Reaching the World", Asia-Pacific Writers and Translators 2013 Summit, InterSastra muncul dalam dua sesi:

Penerjemah sebagai Mediator Suksesnya Buku. Sebuah percakapan santai tentang peran penerjemah mengusung sebuah buku di luar negeri penulisnya. Bersama Kate Griffin, International Programme Director for the British Centre for Literary Translation, Eliza Vitri Handayani, pendiri Inisiatif Penerjemahan Sastra, dan penerjemah/pencari bakat Gioia Guerzoni. Moderator: Shirley Lee.

Pentingnya Penerjemahan bersama Indira Babellapati (tentang “Penerjemahan sebagai Transfer Kebudayaan"), Rebecca Ehrenwirth (“Sastra Cina Kontemporer di Thailand”), Noelle de Jesus Chua (“Menerjemahkan Rofel Brion’s Kapag Natagpuan Kita / Once I Find You”), Chris Song Zijiang (“[Trans-]Formasi sebuah Ekspresi Puitis”), dan Merlie M. Alunan ("Menerjemahkan Puisi dari bahasa Cebuano ke Inggris"). Moderator: Eliza Handayani.

This year (2012-13) InterSastra was honored as Eliza Handayani was named chair of AP Writers' translation committee. On "Reaching the World", Asia-Pacific Writers and Translators 2013 Summit InterSastra appeared in two sessions:

The Translator as Mediator of a Book’s Success. A casual conversation about the translator’s role in bringing a book to prominence outside the author’s country. With Kate Griffin, International Programme Director for the British Centre for Literary Translation, Eliza Vitri Handayani, founder of Inisiatif Penerjemahan Sastra, and translator/literary scout Gioia Guerzoni. Moderated by Shirley Lee.

Translation Matters with Indira Babellapati (speaking about “Translation as Transference of Culture”), Rebecca Ehrenwirth (“Contemporary Chinese Literature in Thailand”), Noelle de Jesus Chua (“Translating Rofel Brion’s Kapag Natagpuan Kita / Once I Find You”), Chris Song Zijiang (“The [Trans-]Formation of a Poetic Expression”), and Merlie M. Alunan ("Translating poetry into English from my native Cebuano”). Moderated by Eliza Handayani.
